the watsons go to washington.

what happens when you gather 17 students, 5 cable positive staffers, and 3 watsons in a dc ballroom for a week? in a word: magic. the aforementioned scenario was the basis of the inaugural launch of the youth aids media institute university, affectionately known as yami u. through a generous grant from the motorola foundation, cable positive was able to create a program that would arm the next generation of hiv/aids activists with the tools and know how to create their very own awareness campaigns. cable positive enlisted the watsons to help structure a curriculum for the students, as well as oversee the creation of the integrated campaign (that would be psas, prints ads, a website and a text messaging campaign – did we mention this was done in 5 days?) what resulted was the “noLOLinHIV” campaign, created for youth by youth. check out the amazing final products and see more of what these incredible do gooders created at nololinhiv.org.

been there, done that, loved it, did it again.

this just in from the chicago office: seems our latest whole foods market campaign was such a success that it’s blown all the way over to the windy city. whole foods market recently opened their third largest store in the world (complete with restaurants, wine cafés, and perks a plenty). and to kick things off, we helped adapt the northeast campaign to the midwest. shooting at iconic locations like the fullerton street el stop and the biograph theater. these new ads will use chi-town residents as human billboards and convert shoppers into living, breathing testimonials. take a second, city, and check out our latest work.

the liberty present a united front.

on this, our 4th year with the liberty and their 13th season, we’re celebrating an aspect of the brand that’s as rare as it is compelling: community. to be a fan of the liberty is to be part of something. something big, raucous, exciting and seriously fun. check out our new campaign and see how players and fans unite in their passion to play.

good times. good times.

the watsons were mentioned in not one, but two pieces in the times last month for our whole foods market campaign and our participation in cable positive’s yami university program. read all about it here and here.

walk into a room…

for their 2nd annual power awards, cable positive wanted to keep things simple. instead of doing a big fancy to do, they brought the awards to the people. and what better place to reach said people than at the national cable show in washington, dc. hot on the tails of yami u, the watsons and cp set up shop right in the middle of the show room floor, with host rachel maddow in tow. the ceremony, which honored cable industry leaders who inspire, empower and educate when it comes to hiv/aids awareness, was also equipped with a 'make your own psa' station. as you can see from the photos, we made some colorful new friends, including larry flynt, who was among the 55 people who stopped by to make a psa that day.
