since 1871, our amazing new client, columbia skincare, has been the premium quality therapeutic skincare brand. six years ago, they began an intensive r&d effort that resulted in a radical discovery: a chemical compound that works to enhance the body’s natural inclination to regenerate healthy skin cells. backed by clinical trial evidence, they created a first-of-its-kind topical probiotic that makes the skin renewal process more efficient—creating healthier, and ultimately, more beautiful skin. and we watsons were there to build the new brand.
our first step was to launch the exciting new product to their primary target, by way of a 4-page insert in american spa magazine. the piece not only announced the breakthrough, but laid the foundation for branding efforts to come. the tone, modern design and messaging were a complete departure from the legacy brand, thus creating the next generation of one of the most steadfast brands in the country.
on the heels of the launch, we went to work developing an ad campaign and comprehensive brand standards to guide us through the development of social assets for instagram and facebook, as well as an influencer piece for beauty bloggers. this was followed up by a new parallax website that further solidifies the brand’s unique new place in the skincare sector.
it’s just the beginning for the watsons and this remarkable 147 year old start-up.
